TOURISM: RESHAPED ROAD NETWORK

The programme was organized and implemented to inform the people of the government decision to reshape and construct new roads across the length and breadth of the country of which the district is of no exception. This was to keep the people inform that, tourism is an important tool to generate revenue for development and so all hands are on desks to achieve the goal of success.

The facilitator informed the members that, the development of this natural feature into a tourist site will attract no tourist if the road network is not developed. He said, the reshaping of the road is a foundation of making the tourist site a success. Therefore the need to put the road into a good state to ease transportation.
He said also that, local economic activities largely contributes to the local economy and that must be given the necessary assistance and attention.

The various stakeholders contributed in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the projects. A total of 98 participants were present at the program of which 54 were Males and 44 were Females. Out of the 98 participants, 2 people were physically challenged.
