The programme was organized and implemented to provide support to the victims of disaster across the district. This will help improve on the living conditions of the affected and also put a smile on their faces. The facilitator said, government and the various Assemblies have made provisions to provide items to people whose lives have been affected by floods, earthquakes, fire outbreak and others to assist them in meeting life normal again. Items such as money, mattress, and beds, among others are supplied to these victims of disaster.
The facilitator in his submissions, informed the members that, there are some disasters that are beyond the control and the power of man and thus cannot be dealt with it directly. Disaster like earthquakes are natural occurrences that are difficult to deal with at the scene, hence the need to make provisions to address the aftermaths of it. The occasion was attended by the various stakeholders who contributed in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programme.
Birth and Death Unit is responsible for issuing of Birth and Death certificate to individuals within and outside the District.
