EDUCATION: Construction of Classroom Block

The programme was organized and implemented to create awareness on the readiness of the government and the Assembly to make provisions to maintain school buildings in the various communities in the district.

During the occasion, the members were informed that the Assembly has not rejected its role of maintaining school buildings and other facilities in the district but was making provisions to control the problem at hand. The facilitator said, the Assembly has taken upon its self to renovate dilapidated buildings in the district in order to promote and enhance good teaching and learning environment.

The facilitator said, maintenance of the school buildings will help admit more children in schools in the district and by that promoting education. He further said this action will continue until the communities are decorated with better school buildings and other facilities as well.

The occasion was attended by the various stakeholders who contributed in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the activity. A total of eighty one (81) participants attended the programme from the various communities with 53 being males and 28 being females.
