CENTRAL ADMIN: Finance and Administration Subcommittee meeting organised

The district F&A subcommittee organized its fourth quarter meeting. They met to discuss the Assembly’s financial performance as at 30th September, 2021 and map out strategies for revenue mobilization for 2022 fiscal year.
The convenor for the subcommittee: Hon. Kwadwo Asamoa-Manu in his opening remarks was impressed about the performance so far especially with the revenue mobilization.
It came to light that as at September, 2021, the Assembly had realized an amount of three hundred and forty-two thousand, five hundred and fifty-six Ghana Cedis seventy- six pesewas (GH ¢ 342,556.76) representing 67.13% of the total budget of five hundred and ten thousand three hundred Ghana Cedis (GH ¢510,300.00). It should be noted that as at September 2020, two hundred and eighty nine thousand, four hundred and eighty one Ghana cedis sixty three pesewas (GH ¢289,481.63) out of a total budgeted amount of four hundred and eighty thousand four hundred Ghana cedis (GH¢480,400.00) had been collected which represented 60.26%. This meant there had been an improvement in revenue collection.
Members encouraged management to do all in her power to rake in enough revenue for the Assembly in order to implement any developmental agenda of the District.
