The programme was organized and implemented to assess the level of productivity under the agenda of Planting for Food and Jobs in the district. This programme was used to undertake monitoring of the usage of farm inputs shared to farmers under the PFJ agenda.
The facilitator in his submissions told the members that the government of Ghana is much interested in increasing the quality and quantity of food in the country, hence the strategy of giving out farm inputs to farmers for free to help to increase productivity level in the country. He informed the members that, Afigya Kwabre north is also benefitted from this strategy where farmers were supplied farm inputs to support them in their farm activities.
The facilitator explained that, any individual or group of individual whose actions will render this useful strategy useless will not go scot free but will face full rigorous of the law. He advised that, those found of selling out these inputs to farmers outside the district should desist from it and comply with the intentions of the government to promote the agenda Planting For Food and Job.
The occasion was attended by the various stakeholders who contributed in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project. A total of 64 participants were recorded of which 18 were males and 16 were females.
