The programme was organized and implemented to create awareness on the policies, activities and programmes of the Denase Ashan Home for the development of the district. This is to assess the impact of the activities of the Ashan Home on the lives of children with/out parents.
The facilitator informed the members that in order to promote and improve upon the lives of children especially orphans and truant, the Ashan Home exist to offer support and protection and reformation to these groups of children. He said, the Ashan Home provides shelter and accommodation to the children, education and health support, emotional and psychological support, vocational and technical support, as well as moral support to these groups of children.
He added that, the Ashan Home organizes programmes such as cultural display, football matches and other games to unveil some hidden talents in these children. The facilitator continued to explain that, the Ashan Home is not for profit making but to support the lives of some children without support and also the truant. He called for support from the members of the various communities to help the activities of the Ashan Home.
The occasion was attended by the various stakeholders who contributed in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project. A total of eighty two (82) participants attended the programme with 52 being males, and 30 being females.
