The programme was organized to implement the recommenations and decisions taken at the various committee meetings as well as General Assembly meetings. During the occasion, the members were informed on the final recommendations and decisions taken so far from the various meetings and the steps the Assembly together with other community officials have taken to implement it. The facilitator informed the participants that, the Assembly together with community opinion leaders have gone the length and breadth to provide solutions to all issues hindering the development and growth of the community.
The members were told to develop the spirit of togetherness in all aspects of life for development. The facilitators encouraged Assembly Members to educate their communities well on the various approved projects and programmes of the District. The facilitators also informed the members about the government flagship programmes such as the school feeding and free senior high school programme which are very intense in all public schools in the district.
The activities undertaken include:
• Sensitization on recommendations from various meetings of the Assembly
• Education on the importance of community togetherness as a useful tool to development
A total of forty eight (48) participants attended the programme from which 27 being males and 21 being females. All stakeholders were involved in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of this program.
