SWCD: Presentation of PWD Items in Income Generating Activities

16th June, 2022

The programme was organized and implemented to sensitize the members on the need to provide help to the vulnerable and to improve upon their standards of living, thus making life more convenient for them.

During the occasion, the members were informed that nature and life has really caused harm to some of the people in our communities and that such peoples need to be supported financially to help them improve upon their lives. Therefore the government of Ghana has made provisions by providing support in the form of cash to these people as a backbone in their lives.

He added that most families are financially incapacitated to provide the everyday needs of these people, hence the importance of this initiative to help sustain the lives of the vulnerable in the communities. As a result of this, some relatives are often seen on the streets and roadside always begging for money which runs automatically to become a burden on the government. This among others has urged the government to provide strategies to eliminate all beggars on the street and provide help to them as well as the vulnerable. The occasion was attended by the various stakeholders in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the project.
