The programme was organized and implemented to sensitize members on the severity of the covid-19 virus and the means to adapt to avert its spread. This programme was used to provide education to all and sundry about the usage of the nose mask and the hands sanitizers as it is very useful in combating the spread of the virus.
During the programme, the facilitator informed the members that, the covid-19 virus is very dangerous and easy to spread and so they should be mindful in their culture of gathering. He said, they should desist from always attending public gatherings to avert contacting the virus. The facilitator said, they shouldn’t attach tribal and religious beliefs to this virus, but rather see it to be medical and should treat it as such.
He explained to the members of the various signs and symptoms of the virus. The covid-19 team distributed a number of covid-19 PPEs to all participants. Moreover, the number of challenges facing the health service in the covid-19 era was discussed by the various stakeholders and the necessary solution was provided.
The various stakeholders supported in the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the activity.
A total of 57 participants attended the programme from the various communities with 35 being males and 22 being females.
The meeting started at 1:10pm and ended at 3:30pm.
