The programme was organized and implemented to create awareness to the members of the communities on the availability of the client service charter where they will be comfortable in lodging their complaints for the necessary action to be taken by the clients Service Unit and the other stakeholders.
During the occasion, the facilitator informed the participants that, since the activities of the district Assembly is new to most of the people, the Assembly has established a client service unit where everyone is opportune to make enquiries of some of the activities of the Assembly be it revenue issues, permit, land disputes etc. He added that, if anyone is not comfortable with the attitudes of any staff in the discharge of their official duties, the person is at liberty to visit the Assembly and make complain.
The facilitator continued to say that, a number of issues were brought before the clients’ service unit and the necessary actions has been taken on all issues. Furthermore, he informed the members that, the clients’ service unit recommends that, any individual/ group with any indifference with the activities of the district Assembly shouldn’t fight or exchange words with staffs but should rather come to the unit for further clarification and understanding.
All stakeholders were involved in the implementation of this programme. A total of 125 participants of which 68 were males and 57 were females attended the programme.
Birth and Death Unit is responsible for issuing of Birth and Death certificate to individuals within and outside the District.
